Points for Consistency

I will give the Democrats credit for being entirely consistent in their mistrust of voters. They don’t trust registered Democratic primary voters any more than they do the general electorate. Is there any purpose for the Super Delegates other than as a “legal” way for the party to overrule its voters’ choice for presidential nominee?
