Law-Abiding Gun Owner Defends Home

Via Sebastian, a law-abiding gun owner shot a burglar inside his house at 5:00 AM.  Being NJ, there is nothing to ensure the home owner, who is a law-abiding gun owner, won't be charged.  NJ…what a place.

I keep returning to something I have said many times before: any government that interferes with the right to self defense is illegitimate and should be reformed or replaced.

  1. I remember a case in NY. Guy had just moved to New York from Florida, brought his Beretta 92 with him. He had applied for a pistol permit. Pistol permits in NYC take about 12 months, at the time anyway, no idea now. Anyway, one night hears a noise, finds some guy in his son’s bedroom. Shoots him. The DA charges him with possession of an unregistered handgun, and the guy goes to Riker’s.
