Class Action Suit?

I am pretty sure members of Congress are legally untouchable but is it possible to file a class action suit against the Democratic Party, ACORN and any other relevant leftwing groups for the damage they’ve done to our home values and our 401ks?

End Multiculturalism

I happened across a fascinating piece called “The End of Multiculturalism”.  The author is definitely no conservative but has not hesitation in defending traditional American culture.  In fact he even asserts that it is better in many ways than other cultures.  It’s very refreshing.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.  Multiculturalism is not [...]

It’s Over

It pains me to say this but I think the election is over. Obama won. Arguably it could be better stated that McCain lost it. Either way it adds up to the same thing - big trouble.
When the economy goes south, justifiably or not, the electorate looks to the Democrats. Once Wall street imploded, McCain [...]

An Example of American Exceptionalism

There’s a very interesting post on ArtsAndAmmo making a point on American Exceptionalism.
What does America have that Asia doesn’t have? The answer is, Sarah Palin - not Sarah Palin the vice presidential candidate, but Sarah Palin the “hockey mom” turned small-town mayor and reforming Alaska governor. All the PhDs and MBAs in the world can’t [...]

Where Did English Guns Go?

This is a couple years old but with Obama surging in the polls it is worth watching.

The Orwellian Left

“Sometimes a more balanced debate is best served by an unbalanced symposium.”
Carl Bogus (former director of Handgun Control, Inc. and Violence Policy Center board member) explaining in 1999 why an article by Prof. Randy Barnett included in an all anti-second amendment law review issue.
If only Orwell was still with us. He would appreciate the danger [...]

Obama and the Effort to Gut the Second Amendment

Dave Hardy has a chilling piece detailing the Joyce Foundation’s attempts to scrap the Second Amendment while Obama was on the board.  Hat tip to Sebastian.

If the Jackboot Fits

I saw this mentioned on FoxNews.com earlier.  It’s just frightful indoctrination by the left.

To which we can only respond, if the jackboot fits….

Letter Published

The Inquirer published my letter, although they chopped it pretty thoroughly.  Here’s the original text for comparison.
The Inquirer took a gratuitous and baseless cheap shot at President Bush in blaming him for the “economic mess - and likely recession” (”Key difference: Iraq,” editorial, last Sunday).
Here are some facts you neglected to note.
The Clinton administration greatly loosened [...]

Response to a Pro-Obama Gun Owner

I posted the following on an Ohio gun owner’s blog in response to his contention that Obama is not anti-gun.  His YouTube video is here.
Scott,
I must respectfully disagree with your assessment of Obama’s gun record.  You make two very specific statements in your video.
First, you say he does not want to prohibit the manufacture, possession or sale [...]

Gun Control….

Gun Control: a policy that says a criminal should control your family’s fate.

Gun Control….

Gun Control: a policy the says criminals should control all the guns.

In Their Own Words

The Wall Street Journal, seemingly the only media outlet willing to report on Congress’s contributions to the financial mess, compiled a series of direct quotes from Congressional hearings.  Some highlights:
House Financial Services Committee hearing, Sept. 25, 2003:
Rep. Frank (D., Mass): I do not want the same kind of focus on safety and soundness that we [...]

Gun Shows Not a Problem

A recent study out of the University of Michigan and the University of Maryland (neither institution has a reputation as pro-gun, rather the opposite I’d say) demonstrates what gun rights supporters have been saying all along: gun shows are not a problem.

Munching on that Crap Sandwich

There was a brutally funny piece by Jonah Goldberg in today’s Inquirer.  He absolutely goes on the warpath, skewering Republicans and Democrats alike with equal glee.  The whole thing is great but the end had me in stiches.  Okay, I’ll admit to having an odd sense of humor.
I loathe populism. But if there ever has been a moment [...]
