Dutch Labor Party Admits Multiculturalism is a Failure

In a very welcome sign, it looks like the Dutch Labor party is waking up to the dangers of multiculturalism.  The party chairperson, Lilianne Plouman, wrote:

“The mistake we can never repeat is stifling criticism of cultures and religions for reasons of tolerance.”

First, this is a remarkable admission of the failure of multiculturalism.  Second, and every bit as important, is the recognition that multiculturalism itself has been used as a bludgeon to silence people.

If the Dutch Labor Party, one of the biggest peddlers of multi-culti drivel out there, is admitting it has been a mistake then there is hope for the rest of Europe.  A Europe that rediscovers its identity as something good and worthy of defending would be capable of actually playing a constructive role in the world again.  Wouldn’t that be refreshing?

I would also note (one more time!) that multiculturalism is a Marxist derived ideology.  The whole thing should have been exposed and trashed years ago.  But, of course, academia and the traditional media have been essentially purged of non-lefties.  There were simply insufficient numbers of people in a position to fight back.

Now if we can get the American left to take notice maybe we’ll make some progress here.  Since they so often take their cultural cues from the Europeans, it might just be possible.
