Of Spies, Statesmen and (Incompetent) Sleuths
Wire magazine posted a brief piece to their website about a recent court ruling involving Valerie Plame. Naturally the reporter summarized who she is and why we should know her. Unfortunately he got it (predictably) wrong.
The piece says her identity was compromised when
Vice President Dick Cheney’s chief of staff, I. Lewis Libby, leaked to syndicated columnist Robert Novak that she was an agent
Then later
A week before Novak outed her from a tip by Libby…
The problem, of course, is that Scooter Libby wasn’t the leak. It was Richard Armitage, a senior State Department official. This isn’t some great secret. It’s well known and public. Here, here, here, here and here are evidence of that.
The left continues its crusade to deny the facts of the world. Reality doesn’t fit your ideological narrative? No problem…just make up a new reality.
