If you ever read the Douglas Adams Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy series you may recall that Adams pokes fun at mankind’s less intelligent tendencies by joking that we’re descended from professional telephone sanitizers exiled from another planet. I’m starting to wonder if he was on to something.
