A Preening Twit Award - Imagine That
Congratulations to Susan McClaren, of Phoenixville, our latest Preening Twit Award winner for this example of leftwing mental puffery.
Imagine what it would be like to be able to see a doctor when one is not feeling well; not to fear care because of cost; and not to be funneled into the overburdened emergency room just because you can’t afford to see a doctor in his office.
Imagine the proliferation of “minute clinics” that specialize basic care like “not feeling well” and cost about $60 per visit which is just a little lower than the starting price of many hundreds of dollars per month (probably more) we’d likely see under ObamaCare. Imagine in Massachusetts an increase in ER usage under RomneyCare, the closest thing we have to ObamaCare.
Imagine not having to argue with an insurance company over your coverage; imagine not being dropped for a preexisting condition; imagine not having to drop insurance because you can no longer afford it.
Imagine that government run healthcare doesn’t mean you get any treatment you want. Imagine that government run healthcare does mean less money in the healthcare sector an patients receiving fewer treatments from fewer doctors and the government arbitrarily deciding who gets what and that you don’t get to appeal. Imagine that if preexisting conditions were ignored during underwriting it would be the equivalent of buying life insurance after someone died and that if you can simply get insurance whenever you want basic math tells you not to buy it until you need it. Imagine how loading up with coverage mandates, limits on preexisting condition coverage rules and requirements to charge people the same amount regardless of risk factors will make insurance much, much more expensive than it is now.
Imagine, Susan, doing a little research.
